Thyssen de Goede
Owner/Builder
I started in the construction industry from an early teen. My father and mentor owned and operated Victoria truss plant based out of Cumberland. I spent most of my summers from 12 years old up to graduation working in the plant. I graduated from G.P. Vanier right here in the Comox valley in 2006. Out of high school carpentry was a clear passion of mine along with rugby. I started with the U19 National team and progressed to Men’s National sevens and fifteen aside teams. All along the way pursuing my carpentry apprenticeship and eventually completing it to become a ticketed red seal carpenter.
Here at Thyssen de Goede Developments we pride ourselves on sponsoring apprentices and educating them in the field of carpentry. We take the time to make sure they gain as much as possible from their tasks. “Always ask questions” is instilled in each employee.
